Hit the page button and got to the end. They don't have this listed like they do with the Sonar, Chart, etc. But i refer to it as tools or utilities.

I have mine around 60% and my range is all over the place.

Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (fishin couillon)
Below are some screens shots a copied off last weekends fishing trip on the Cumberland River. I am running a HDS 5 Lake Insight with a 50/200 transducer. Can anyone help me in determining what changes I need to get better sonar returns. I just get blobs, not the picture perfect echos like many of you have. I have only got that type of return many months ago while fishing some dam tailwater.

"Well here's a few more pics from the HDS 7. I'm getting there on the fine tuning but still have a little ways to go. I haven't found the sweet spot yet. Look at the time, they were taking one after the other, basically you can put these side by side and make on long picture."
I'm pretty sure that if you swich to the 83kHz it will be much better specially over 11ft of water

Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information***
Here are a few shots I took this weekend with an HDS 7 and trolling motor transducer. Thanks to everyone who has helped me (without knowing) how to get this thing to read half way decent!
These were all taken in the same order... these are either Largemouth or Spots.. no striper or hybrid in this particular reservoir

Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (russ010)
good pictures, but to me it looks like a brushpile of jumbled deflections How do you know they are fish? maybe the last shot looks like arcs of fish, but the first 2 look like brush.
Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (russ010)
Looks like you are drifting very slow and that appears to be fish under your boat. I have seen the same thing while at anchol and they were sandbass.
Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (Bernie Lee)
Does anyone know what the solid line is that appears at the 5ft depth line? Is it some type of interference?

Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (JustinFromMO)
Did you have some kind of bait hanging below the transducer?
Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (fishin couillon)
No. That screenshot was taken with my HDS7 thats at my console. The tranducer in mounted in the back of my boat (through hull). Is it possible that its a thermocline?
Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (JustinFromMO)
No, not a thermocline...looks like something was dragging under boat and stayed in the sonar cone.
Re: ***Lowrance HDS Unit Screen Shots & Information*** (brad30110)
boat speeds are too slow to get arches!
slow down ping speed or speed up the boat travel to get better arches

Here is a couple of different schools of crappie I took screenshots of on submerged timber a couple of weeks ago. I know I should have been looking for spawning crappie but couldn't pull myself away from this structure to go looking for spawning fish!
