Where my wife works are kick of wiping down their phones with “Lysol Wipes” every morning before they enter the building.. So now she wiping hers and mine when we get home every day.. it’s amazing how dirty mine is every day, she claims the lady who started it does her 3 or 4 times a day..
My older brother is hyper cautious when it comes to Covid19. When I took my touch screen laptop over to his house he wiped it down with hand sanitizer. Now the screen is wacked out, if you breathe on it the data runs over and hides in the corner. A $700 mistake on his part.
I'd be nervous about wiping down a phone screen with anything liquid.
Most smart phone screens have gorilla glass. You can clean them with damn near anything and they'll be fine. Where as most laptop screens are not protected. What you are cleaning is the anti-glare coating which can be damaged. If you must clean a laptop screen always use a purposely made LCD screen cleaner. Never use windex or alcohol based cleaners as they can damage the coating.Quote:
