My local shop just got he 60th anniversary tatula in stock and I got to play with one...super nice reel and rod...I mean damn nice!!!

This is coming from a hardcore diawa hater...I seriously may buy one

The current generation of Tatula rods are fantastic and a great value. This particular combo, or just the individual pieces, are really nice gear... just give in and join the team :smile:

What technique is this combo best used for? I’ve been looking for a rod and reel for flipping/pitching craws,beavers, and fishing plastic worms. Also how is the sensitivity?

The 8:1 is fast, so the reel definitely lends itself to bottom contact presentations. The rod is solid medium heavy power fast action rod that has very good sensitivity, good power, and a good flex for jigs, plastics, and worms. It can handle buzz baits, spinner baits, chatter baits, a Senko, larger top water baits, etc. The rod is very versatile, light weight, and looks awfully nice too.

Have the old Tatula (black foam) and the new cork. I really liked the feel of the old reel seat. both are great rods, love both.
