    Phoenix 920 vs. 721

I have been looking at new boats recently and have been following the development of the Phoenix 920. I am having a hard time understanding the differences between the 721 and the 920. Are the rides, stability, and layout different?

Haven't heard about ride, stability or layout, just that it's a 20'6" hull rated for a 250. Without even being in one that thing sounds like it's gonna Zooooooom!

Both BASICALLY the same layout on difference is the 921 is Longer and wider. The 921 is the same from the consoles back, the change was made from there forward. If you fish big water like the Great Lakes, Lake Mead, Amistad, etc. 921 is the rig for you.
If you also like getting WAY back in creeks or in real narrow skinny water stick to the 721. 921 probably would get you back there as well but due to its length and width be harder to maneuver. I thought real hard when getting my second Phoenix between the 721 & 921 and stuck with the 721 as felt it did not fit my fishing style.
Good Luck and can't go wrong with any of the boats in the Phoenix line up.

It can be had with a 300 but due to tournament rules they are not allowed so few get rigged that way.

Oops me bad On the new 920 until Phoenix officially unveils the 920 not going to find any info on it either or pics. All the specs and pics will be released when the official announcement is made. Until then its a guessing game. BUT I have been wrong before but doubt I am very far off base on this.

If they are taking orders( Seems several have placed them) for the boat surly someone has official specs of the boat.

Unofficially its a 921 with a foot out of the front deck. From what I have read here on the board. But like I said I would think a dealer would give details since there are placing orders and taking deposits.

20-6", 5" wider in the front as stated in previous Phoenix forums, Lowrance HDS-8's standard, MK Fortrex 80 Standard,10" JP,pretty much the same as a 721 other than the graphs,JP, and deck width.

Plug has been tested with Mercury 250 PRO XS and she hit 80-82.

So the 920 will have a wider deck and be 5 inches shorter and therefore probably a little faster. Are the hulls the same?

Will the front deck rival the z520? If it does I may be in cause I'm not a big fan of the way my ranger rides but I love the way it fishes.

When I see bigger decks, I temporarily swell up with deck envy. But then I remind myself how I'm able to get into those tiny nooks and crannies with my smaller deck. Size doesn't always count!

We are still talking boats here, right? Never really compared my deck with anyone elses, I just figured it was big enough. I've never had any complaints.
