    Bojangles pro-am TEAM tournaments

Can you believe that if you fish this trail as a pro with a partner all year to qualify for classic and come to find out that the classic is individual. I talked to Danny Jo today and he said pro classic is individual. I said it aint fair for guy in back of boat to pay 125 to fish behind his partner for same fish and he said one man to a boat. Your partner will have to use his own boat. I said what. That is the point of a team trail. Your partner might not have a boat. He said well he'll have to borrow one or be s o l. I know some people that wish they knew this going in. Glad I fish the AM side. You fish as a team still.

He's always done his classic that way. It's OK if you understand it and both of you have a boat or have access to one.

I'm just not sure of the reasoning behind it. Most of the guys I know always try to 'split' the classic winnings. Maybe because he use to give away a boat/motor/trailer for his classic prize. I guess it's easier on his end to just give this to one person....

Too bad you didn't know this up front.

Doesn't affect me thank god. It does a few of my friends on the pro side thou. I was going to fish pro side next year but not now. I'll probably do the gville marine next year. That has a team classic right?

Yep, G'ville Marine is a team tournaments for all events plus the classic. You can fish solo since it's a 5 fish limit and you'll see a few that do that.

Joe runs a good trail. I've fished it 6-8 yrs now. Back to the days when it was strictly a solo trail....

If you're interested in taking off for first flight you'll have to pay a deposit on all tournaments to get into the draw for this. It usually has to be paid a couple weeks before the first tournament. Come on a join the crowd.... he's had as many as 150 boats in some events in the spring....

If you fish enough as a team during the season you can still fish individually at the championship

It's been like this since he started the tx's. I think next year they should just have one class everyone fish for the same pot. No pros and no am's. Like all the other local tx's are. Look at the participation is falling off. I bet fewer people fish them next year unless some changes are made.
