    Mousam Lake Acton,Me.

We just got back after spending the week there.
Last year the bay where we stay every year produced the most and biggest fish.
This year the water temp in the bay was hovering @ 80 degrees.
There was plenty of bait but not marking many fish on the electronics.
As near as I could tell most of the fish moved out onto the main lake.
We caught almost all of our fish on the main lake in 3-10 ft depths in heavy submerged vegetation.
I did catch quite a few fish on sp-bait when the wind was blowing hard but most fish were caught finesse fishing
    plastics.
At dusk on a flat you could literally watch the water boil with fish chasing baitfish as the water cooled down.
These fish would crush a sp-bait for about 1 hr. and would quiet back down about 9:30
We averaged 12-14 LM for every 4 hr. session we fished.Had many LM about 3lb but nothing bigger.
I caught one SM in 3ft one morning weighed 2.5
All in all a pretty good week.

I spend a few weekends a year on Great East Lake. There is no better time on that lake then sunset.
