Water Pressure Guage not working (09 Merc 225 Pro XS, Triton X3)

First time out on Sun, water pressure guage not working. It appears to work on same principal as speedometer which I had to replace after 1st winter
because it froze (I now take it out every winter). I have taken out the water pressure guage, before I order a new one here are my questions:

Where on my 09 Merc 225 Pro XS (Triton X3) am I going to find the water pressure line connect to motor, so I can verify it is connected at motor. If so I was going to disconnect it and blow the line. If all is clear there, then I will proceed to ordering a new guage. Does all of this make sense??? You guys have never
let me down in the past ...... thanks in advance.

At the back of the engine, BELOW the coil plate, is a small, GRAY plastic line connected to a fitting.

This line "tees" about 5-6" outside the block, with one line running up to the Block Pressure Sensor, the other line running forward to the rigging tube (to feed an analog water pressure gauge).
