    Converting Waypoints to Lowrance

Can anyone explain how to convert waypoints from Google Earth over to a Touch unit? I know that NavPlanner II will do it, but I can't seem to find that product for sale anywhere. Which I understand. Is there another program that will handle this? And, how? Thanks!!

Thanks. What if you have a folder in Google Earth with all of the waypoints for a specific lake? Can you convert the entire folder or do you have to convert each waypoint individually?

i have not used it, but there is a batch import on babel. Go to the help section and it gives instructions on how to do it.

You have to save the GE file out....it will do a kml & kmz file but I forgot which one to use but wont hurt if you try both.....then once you don't that, then convert it in gpsbabel to the lowranc usr file and all is fine....import to unit....make sure that you have gps babel set to version 2 when exporting.

How do you do a batch convert? My question was how to export the entire folder out of Google Earth.

Version 2 is not an option

You right click on the folder in GE and "save place as"....when converting over it will save a your spots as one file.

Here is a screen shot of gps babel when converting from GE to Lowrance. Under output, the option tab is where you change it to version 2.

I wrote a tutorial for this over on our kayak fishing website a few months ago. Feel free to follow the steps as I tried to be as user friendly as possible while making it.
