    Bayou black

In case anyone is planning a trip to bayou black, better bring your mud boat. Went yesterday, Almost all of turtle bayou and the picante is clogged with lillies for miles. I was able to make it through turtle bayou in my boat but it was hard even in mine. I made a video with my gopro. We were able to get on some fish though.

so i just wanted to give the heads up that its pretty bad out there.

And i never saw the first brown lillie! they are all BIG TALL & HEALTHY!

yes, picante is clogged for almost a mile. I couldlnt even get through with my gator tail. they are packed tight to.

Turtle bayou is pretty bad but they are not packed as tight. But they stretch all the way from the camps, to the island.

i would say on the pipeline/turtle bayou side of the marsh, about 30% of it is un passable with an outboard. lots of area plugged solid. and your right not a brown lillie one!!!

It was starting to get plugged pretty good last Saturday but I was able to make it around the back way from Pipeline to Copasaw. Bluebird was plugged from the Houseboats on back!

no, when they pack really tight, all you do is go on top of them and the motor cant get to water. If i really wanted to go through i could. Go about 30 yards, clean a spot, back up, and do it again, but i didnt think it was worth it.

And buddy, I think its about 45% now. Its getting really bad.

I was wondering the same, Jeff...I keep hearing lillies, then see a pic or video and it looks like water hyacinth to me! Hell they even called them that on Swamp People.

    Lillies =

    Water Hyacinth =
