    191 Legend?

Opinions on speed (with a 200), storage, ride, fishing ability?

    The good bad or ugly?

    Thanks Much
    Butch

My buddy has one and speed is about 64-68 with both of us in it. Storage awesome love the day box, ride perfect, fishing perfect. Driving it is a lot of fun.

Only downside so far for me is middle rod box, love it but needs to be able to put more rods in it. I think it carries like 11-13 and I usually carry about 20+ LOL.

You need to ride in one.

I carry that many because I might have 4 different crankbait rods and three jigs on the deck at all times. All with different size line, rod strength etc. I am a little over the top and change baits a lot during the day even when I am catching them on a particular bait. I will change it a little to see if its better. LOL. I aslo carry way way way to much stuff with me.

Good question, Butch. I've been looking at Legends also. When I go newer it will be a roughly 19 footer with a 200. It's taken me a couple of years and a lot of research, but I'm down to a Legend 191, or a BCB PII.

With a light load, 1 person, & it tweeked just right you can get 72. For a 19 footer that's like riding in a rocket ship.

? Not being a jerk but how fast are the Stratos 294's, BCB Pantera 2's, Z-119, and Tritons run? I know Chet got 77.1 out of his P2 with 200 SHO, AS fast as the Stratos and wider.....I know the Legend is built to chop out that rougher water but if you read Legends posts on this boat years ago they were billing it as a Mid 70s boat? It seems that they modded the 186 boat for 19' usage?

My buddy has a 191 and 67-71 is about right, depending on weather and load.

    Hey Guys,

I got a 191 w/200 ProXS. I can consistently get 64-66, and I've hit 70 with right conditions and 2 people in the boat. I love it. The middle rod locker is awesome, easy access to my rods, and don't have to worry about holding rods to the deck when trying to get other rods out. Amazing hole shot, and runs smooth. I can get it up super shallow too which is a plus because I fish the Mississippi river mostly. As for fishability, it fishes much bigger than it is! I've got a single console and the front deck is massive for a 19 footer. We easily fish 2 up front, and when I'm up there by myself its more than enough room. If you got any specific questions feel free to shoot me a message, or email!

I have a 2011 Legend 191. I love it and with jack plate set up correcrly I hit 68.3 mph fully loaded, full tank and livewell and two people. Think with a different prop I may be able to hit 70 with 200 Mercury Pro XS that's on it. Was looking at Nitro Z7 first but saw Legend included all options I already wanted stock and nitros didn't and it would have been more expensive to get nitro up to what I wanted on it. Besides after I rode in a Legend and felt the ride I knew then I would never own a different brand.

I am in South Louisiana and I run 68 to 70 and a couple times just under 71. Ive yet to run it in Dec, Jan, or Feb (the cooler months). Have a 200 Pro xs with atlas hyd plate. Run a 25 Tempest and will try a 24 Fury soon. The boat is Perfect for me and the waters I fish. The ride, fit and finish are top notch. 225-806-8366 if you have any questions.

Steve, that boat gets prettier and prettier the more I see it. I see you will have it at the Chicago show this weekend, I was just up that way for work this week. Wish I could have been there a week later so I can see you guys.

Benny, I'm getting an Alpha 191, should be done in about a month. If you try a fury 24 anytime soon and like it better then the Temd speedpest 25, post it and say why. I'm not sure what to get. Kody suggested a 25 Fury, i know it's all subjectional to waters fished, load, etc. I tournament fish and would obviously like quick wholeshot and good topend speed. I've heard the Tempest's come good out of the box and are an all around good prop. Why are you thinking 24 Fury over 25?

I have a 191 and have a 24 fury and 25 tempest. The 24 fury has a better hole shot, but I get more speed out of the tempest. I can get 67 with the fury and 70 with the tempest. I also think if I had the fury worked on I could get more out of it. I would like to try a 25 fury too. The 191 is a awesome boat I love mine and think you will too.
