They had it planned for june ...never anticipated it filling this quickly. Sucks they have to let water out....they should build a coffer dam around the ramp area and do it that way.

I drove over there yesterday and that lake is nowhere near full. The only full part I saw was between Utica ridge road and 220 ave. 220 is the next road east of Utica ridge.

I had heard it was full. Are you sure they haven't drawn it down to continue the work on the ramps?

There was no water to the east of 220 Ave. I should have taken some pics but my dog was chasing a pheasant. There might have been a little down by the dam but the lake is nowhere near full.

The part by the road is the most shallow area....its not full but it is about 6 months ahead of schedule.
Hope they dont draw It down....such a waist of good water.

Not really that shallow. I assume you are talking about the far west side of the lake (the current small lake)? If so it is well over 20' deep in spots. Most banks are a straight drop from 2' to around 14' with standing brush and nice fish cribs. Also full of 12" bass with some bigger ones also. They dropped some broods from the fairport hatchery in there a couple years ago, there are some 5lb+.

It is not ahead of any schedule anymore, they let all the water out except for the creek. After we had that big downpour this spring it was near full capacity, I'd say at least 3/4 way full. If you go back there you can see where the water was.

If anyone wants to just go catch some fish, toss a GP senko or GP tube around and you will get plenty. Nothing huge but there are a lot of bass in there. Be sure to spread the word it is currently an 18" minimum lake, I have seen quite a few people with 15-18" fish on stringers that had no idea. It is in the 2013 regulations.

There are also 100 musky in there as of right now, 80 in the creek in the lower basin and 20 in the west end lake. 12" fish.

Walleye will be stocked late this summer in the main lake after the boat ramps are built and the lake starts to fill again. 3" fish.

If anyone needs any info just send me a PM. I have talked with Chad (ahead of the fisheries part of the project) a few times and have good knowledge of what is going on with the fish. I also have maps that I will link here.

Looks like he figured it out then, since Kevin22 was the first Alias. Regardless thanks for the report on Lost Grove.

I think he was referring to your sleuth skills in identifying a former banned member from Minnesota. Good work by the way . That guy had ZERO business being a member of BBC

Oh, that one was easy I figured everyone knew. And I have been accused of trolling with another name more than once.
