Anybody notice the HMDI port on the back of the units?
I for one can't wait for you complainers to switch and get off the HB site. For months it is the same old same old wine. You should serve cheese with all that wine.

Wireless internet? Are they going use Cell phone service? Otherwise not a lot of wi-fi towers on lakes.

Way too much money. By all means though, continue to blow out older units.

its probably a feature more for people who have a mobile hotspot. Like my new iphone 5s has a mobile hotspot so I would just connect the humminbird up to my iPhones hotspot and it would run off of my phones service!

Does anyone know when the Onix will release and will be available for purchase?
I plan on moving my 998c to the bow and putting a onix 10 on the console, I wonder if I will need to use the new transducer on the new unit or if I can just rig it to the bow for my 998 when I move it

That's another question I don't know lol, if not I'll just put a gps puck on each unit and will be satisfied.

I don't need dead on way points, living here in Florida I don't fish brush piles or ledges, something that I would need a dead on waypoint to know exactly where it is. I would only need waypoints to my grass lines I flip, submerged or topped off vegetation.

The ION is more a Black Box System - more designed for the Bluewater Market. I will have to learn more on this system and may have some answers by tomorrow night.

NETWORKING will only work within the same Series. ION to ION and ONIX to ONIX. But current Ethernet accessories like 360 Imaging, iPilot Link, Radar etc the units are able to read the input from these devices and control them. But NOT Networkable with current models.

Well the big 12 inch screen is going to look funny on my little 11.5 foot aluminum boat, ( I already get lots of comments about the 1198, but I got to get one.

Will the line in the sand still apply? Are the blue water units side imaging units?

It's amazing how folks can be upset that a technology company comes out with NEW technology. I mean get the freak over it, unplug your f'n DVD player and plug in a Blueray player. Guess what happens to a company like HB if they don't keep raising the bar.....times up.....they cease to exist. Now, get out your flip phones and call someone who gives a crap.
