Power pole pump, and hydraulic hoses

I am installing an 8' blade on a '11 Ranger Z518. Anyone have experience with this application? Specifically, pump placement, and dealing with the severe coil of the hoses. I am concerned about where to run the hoses, and placement so as to not to create a kinking situation. Thanks

Explain severe coil issue. I am unsure what you are trying tosay. The hoses come in a coil when shipped. It is very simple to just run them into the boat and install with no kink issues. The only way the hoses can kink is if bent at close to a 90*. You should have no reason to have to bend them in this way. Those hoses ar pretty thick walled. You can handle them at will.

Re: Power pole pump, and hydraulic hoses (Hydrilla Gear)

Thanks for the reply, your response makes me feel a bit better. It is still pretty chilly here in Maryland. This makes the hoses more difficult to straighten out. The coils are about 15 inches in diameter and due to the cool air, and length of the coils difficult to deal with. I snaked them over the transom, and through the hole where the other engine cables enter the boat. Once inside, I have somewhat limited options as to where to run them. Everything is hooked up, but the hoses. I will press on. Thanks, again for the response.

I wouldnt expect the lines to ever straiten out. The were probably coiled befor they cooled completely and semi formed that way. Mine have been on there for several months and still havent "straitened out" just do the best you can running it and it wont look bad at all

I am thinking of installing a power pole also. Can you tell me the overall height of the pump assembly? Just seeing if it will fit were I'm thinking of placing it, thanks.

Got my 2 new 10' Blades this week and mounted the pumps yesterday and compared to the Signature Series I had last season these thing are a breeze to install.. No extra boxes to mount and wires to to run..

With everything being wireless it makes it real simple.. Other than the power and ground for the pumps and the lines there is nothing to it.. Waiting on my brackets and mounts so I can run mount the poles and run the hydraulic lines..

Also the upgrade IMO from the push in type locking line to the regular screw on compression style is much better. I just removed the old units being I sold them and had to cut 3 of the 4 lines and leave like an inch sticking out cause I could not get them to come loose when in the boat.. Fought with them after I got them out and finally got them to release..

Not to mention the cylinder comes already mounted and pole together right out of the box.. My last ones I installed myself and had to put them together..
