heddon zara spook ???? if you had only one color to throw ??????

Just curious what color has worked best for some of you with a zara spook. I have several different colors. I like the blue shore. I have seen guys catch fish in clear water with a firetiger color. What works best or does color matter? thanks for the input

I've always had the best luck with a plain ole bone colored spook. Water clarity hasn't seemed to matter with it either.

I used to use nothing but white/shad/bluegill patterns...... an old man showed me one of the crystal clear ones he said youll see a increase in fish bites ... I have seen a increase..... but i think sometimes in clearer water the fish doesnt see the bait it just sees the wake its making and attacks it..... where as with the colored ones they have time to see it .... just my thoughts never used the flashy colored ones myself

My best color has always been the old frog pattern...frog top with a yellow belly.

Best for me has been Flitter Shad. I carry Original Spooks and Jr.'s in that color only.

My fav was the rainbow trout looking one. Once the paint finally chipped off after years of use, I gave it a white paint job, with a ------------ lateral line and it still catches fish.
By far my favorite walking bait.

Either clear and change the hooks out with red ones or baby bass. I throw the clear one until they start schooling in Oct. here - then switch to baby bass. Also like to have a white feathered tail hook
