Too many variables involved to say for sure concerning the powerhead, but vibration for the boat would be evident, as well as possible rear bearing "walking" out the back of the carrier. The forward gear bushing that the propshaft rides in, could move forward, preventing R. gear engagement. Not to mention gear damage that was possibly done upon impact, as well as lower driveshaft bending at the pinion gear taper. It all depends on the nature of the impact.
