    Dave’s Apple Pie Moonshine Recipe

I have two batch sizes here, so I don’t have to think about halving or doubling, especially if I’m sampling the last batch. This is really good with lots of ice.

    1/2 gallon of apple juice
    1/2 gallon of apple cider
    3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cups of brown sugar
    4 cinnamon sticks
1/2 liter of 190 Proof Grain Alcohol, Everclear or equivalent.

To get started, you need a large boiling pot. Add into this pot the apple juice, apple cider, the white and brown sugar, and the whole fresh cinnamon sticks. Bring these contents to a boil, then remove the pot from the stove and let it cool down to room temperature. Once at room temperature, gradually stir in the 190 proof grain alcohol. What you don’t consume in one sitting, you can bottle for later use. Store it in sterile Mason jars, place one cinnamon stick in each jar, and then store them in a cool dark dry place. After a couple of weeks your Apple Pie Moonshine will taste even better. This batch will make about 4 1/2 quarts.

    1 gallon of apple juice
    1 gallon of apple cider
1 1/2 cups of white sugar
    2 1/2 cups brown sugar
    8 cinnamon sticks
1 liter of 190 Proof Grain Alcohol, Everclear or equivalent.

This batch will make about 9 quarts.

I've never been skydiving, but I have zoomed-in on Google Earth really fast.

I have a recipe for a similar concoction that is very good. I was told to never give it out or I would be in trouble.

Re: Dave’s Apple Pie Moonshine Recipe (Blaze n Bass)

I had planned on making this stuff this weekend....but lo and behold, Everclear and grain alcohol (190 and 151 proof) are illegal in NH. Not only that, but it's illegal in Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, AND Connecticut. So, I either need to make a road trip to Rhode Island, find a website that sells it that's willing to ship it to NH, or find someone on here willing to buy it for me, ship it to me, and I reimburse them through PayPal. This sucks, I was really looking forward to making a batch of it this weekend.

I made the 1st batch - too sweet. Made the 2nd with 1/2 the sugar - better but still too sweet. 3rd batch used 1 cop brown and no white sugar + the juice of 1 lemon. Mmmm Good.

Finally made some (thanks to a friend who has relative's in other states that sell everclear! ). Amazing, very good. I started with the small batch to make sure I was happy with it, and not only did I REALLY like it, but so did my entire family. Going to make a double batch tomorrow.

What's the ABV% come out at?

    Sounds mighty tasty!

Should be 11%, which isn't strong at all compared to other liquors, but much stronger than your average beer.

And it is SCARY good. You can drink it right away, and it's not bad, but after letting it sit for a couple of weeks.....dangerously good.

You don't have to use everclear, vodka can be used as well, add a little extra for the kick.
