Personally I wouldn't touch any Travis boat, not just a Cobra.

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

Why wouldn't you buy a Travis boat? Just curious.

Nothing wrong with the Travis Edition. The boat is still a Cobra and built well. I had mine for 15 years and it was great.

Just gonna say that the "Travis Edition" of the Viper Cobra was built the same as all other Cobra's. However, there were a few differences and for that you'll have to do your own search and come up with your own conclusions.

I have a 2000 201 and the pics concern me a little. The seats are correct for a 2000 model but the dash isn't. All the controls were located next to the drivers seat not on the dash. Betting it is a 98 or 99
Carpet looks about right for that age. For 278 you can get a 30' roll of 20 oz carpet and with some work make that boat look nice. Seat color wouldn't work for me in Texas. Too hot in the summer

Isn't Travis out of business now? Why are we worried about spilling the beans on the "Travis Editions"?
John B-I though you had a Bass Cat now? Or is that your father?

I know that boat! I was in it last week for the Classic! I personally love the boat, fishes great and runs like a son of a gun. It's my fishing partners boat. I've caught a lot of good fish out of the back of that thing. I'm personally hoping he decides to keep it and we start putting the new carpet in next week, but it's not my decision!

That's my dad with the cat. I went to Ranger from my Cobra. If the TE was built the same I don't understand the issue. I assume the standard features may have been lacking but build quality was good. Rockwall marine did my maintenance so I really never used Travis for anythng after the purchase.
