2013 Dodge Ram Front Bumper Clear Coat Peeling

I bought the truck brand new and at about 3000 miles I noticed the clear coat bubbling on the front bumper. I took it to the dealer and by that time it had already started peeling. They took pictures and sent them in to Chrysler and the called back and said that it is not covered under warranty. I have went several rounds with them to get it fixed and still no luck. It is peeling in another spot pretty close to the first one. Any idea's on what I can do to get them to cover this.

How can the paint not be warranted on a brand new truck? What is the excuse they are using?

I would ask to speak with the regional service manager. Start threatening law suits etc.. and they are liable to shut down and tell you fine they will only speak with your lawyer. There should be a number in the back of your owners manual or ask the service department for the number.

They said it was not a factory defect.

It is Chrysler that is telling me that it is not covered. I talked to them also.

Was it involved in a accident, is there evidence of some kind of impact? Something don't seem right here.

Peeling paint or clear coat is an issue with bad prep, and should be a defect.

I literally drove the truck off the showroom floor. It has never been in an accident of any kind.

I guess bumper to bumper means "between" the bumpers

Contact a regional rep and get on the link I sent you in PM. I have my own 2013 with its own set of issues. 1200 miles and I got it back today after 19 total days in the shop and 5 trips they replaced teh entire gauge cluster, 3 wiring harnesses and the 8.4" POS touch screen.

I am regretting letting go of my yota more each day.

That stated contact ram care and also contact STAR they are the service coordinators on the trucks. If taht fails ill get you another number to call.

There is an epidemic of paint issues occouring on the 13's. Ive seen 4 trucks replaced due to that issue.

Need to see photos. If its factory issue they should cover it but siding with you when we have no photo of what we're judging we're just tinkling in a oncoming wind. .. Post some photos close up ..

I would see new dealer...Dealers get paid for repairing factory problems so
Its money for the dealer ship.
