    I agree completely. How hard would it have been to tie some yellow "CAUTION" tape or orange marker tape every few yards? There's 2 boats there already, apparently. Give each of them a couple rolls of the tape and have them start tying, and don't be stingy.

    so much more could have been done. a sheriffs deputy at all major boat ramps warning boaters. tva, marine police, and even rescue squad boats up and down river to warn boaters. seems like very little effort was made. i fished this area last friday and saturday and never even thought of the dangers of something hanging across the river. very sad situation. prayers to the friends and family and especially Mr. Thacker. i could not imagine being in the same situation.
