Anybody ever exchange a battery at Walmart?

My cranking battery died last weekend at our first tournament and I jumped it off and pulled out. Went to Walmart and all they had was a group 24. Will they exchange it for a 27? Ive been working nights this week so I havent had time to call them

I would exchange for the Maxx 29 and pay the difference if they let you.

Yes, any core will work. As long as they have a battery, that is all that matters. BTW, I had 6 old batteries between replacing the ones in my boat, my jon boat a couple couple old cores I had just sitting behind my building. I took them to the local recycling place and ended up getting $79 for them which is more than they give you for the core. Worth checking out.

I just changed all 4 of my batterys at walmart I took them in right before the warranty was up and told them I wanted to up grade to the bigger 29's with the 2 year warranty. They said ok And I just had to pay the differnce in price. Just make sure the batterys are drained all the way before you take them in. That what the walmart guy told me drain them so they wont read a full charge in case they want to test them.

Yes Sir, I have and didn't have a problem. I always write the date of purchase across the carry handle of the battery and clear tape the receipt in a envelope to the side of the battery..........................This helps if a problem arises because receipt is always with me...................JMHO................RR

Good luck trying to change out a bad battery at Walmart. It used to be a simple deal with no questions asked but apparently not anymore. I took one back last summer because it wouldn't hold a charge for more than an hour. They load tested it and said since it took a charge initially, it's good according to their specifications and I was SOL. I wouldn't have another one of their batteries if they gave them away.

Most boats now use Deep cycle batteries as a Starter Battery due to not requiring
the Burst of High Energy previously required. It also allows
for the electronics, livewells,Power Poles,HydroWave etc to operate and still
    Fire up at days end.

i doubt they would just exchange it now because now it's used.. generally with auto parts there is no exchange on electrical components one removed from packaging or installed. I would be surprised if they did..

This would have nothing to do with a warranty situation...

I want to exchange it for a bigger one. They only had a small one when I bought it.

If you have your receipt they'll take it back. Get all technical with them if you get any flack. Nicely explain how it's not performing to advertised specs on battery and you need the most wicked battery they can get their hands on for you.
