Meh. As a Michigan fan, I'm anything but an ND supporter but with ND as an independent, there are opportunities for SEC teams to do a home and home with ND. One of the SEC teams could trade in their mid-November cupcake week for a November home and home with ND. The West Coast teams don't mind playing in South Bend in November so one really has to wonder who is scared.

There are alot of different versions. The one you posted must take into account Georgia game. I bet the others didn't because it wasn't set yet.

I don't get the reason for ND not joining a conference either, seems they would want to play in more bowl games because as it is now, when ND doesn't end up in a NC game then what do they have ?

I'm not against ND winning a NC title as long as it's not against Alabama "if Bama defeats Georgia" next week we'll see what happens, if ND beats Bama then my kudos will go out to them. Maybe I'm just wired different than most but I simply don't have a 2nd. favorite team that I pull for ... period !

I'm going to ask again. Is there anybody out there who really thinks that ND has the best team in the nation. I know where they are ranked. I think it's possible ND could win this year but more than likley the SEC team is going to dust roll them.....unless it rains. Then they are going to stomp a mudhole in them and walk it dry.

That is very interesting. Goes to show there is a lot of bias in all of them.

To be 100% honest I don't think ND could beat Alabama, Florida or LSU when healthy. I know a lot of non SEC fans don't get it or like it but EVERY NCAA football program on TV & their announcers that judge the BCS know it's a historical fact ... with the FACT being that it more physical in the SEC division than anywhere else.

Those were just the ones that popped up in the google search. I tried to find the one quoted on College Gameday but can't. ND played 9 teams that will go to a bowl, 3 top 25 teams, one top 10(maybe 2 depending on Oklahoma's final ranking). USC isn't ranked top 25, but may very well be by end of year after bowls. ND also played all FBS schools. No FCS teams.

Alabama played 3 top 25 teams. 2 top 10 teams. 5 bowl bound teams. 9 FBS schools and 3 FCS schools.

I think they can. They have the #1 Run D in the league. They can put pressure on QB's with their front 4. Their Db's are a little suspect, but get the job done.
Their O line is very strong and they have 2 very good running backs. Golson(red shirt freshman) has improved considerabley over the course of the year. Tyler Eifert is an awesome TE.

On the big stage it will be interesting to see how Golson responds. So far, he has had his best games during their biggest games.

I am not saying they are going to win. But they have a very good chance.

and half their fbs scools couldnt beat the fcs schools bama played!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ND beat at time they played 8 OU, 10 Mich St, 17 Stanford(debateable) , 18 Michagan
Bama beat #8 Michagan, #8 arkansas, #13 Miss. St, #5 LSU, lost to 13 texas a&m

only common opponet michigan bama won 41-14, ND won 13-6

So all them bowl projections and non sense stats mean nothing. Game is on the field and Notre Dame will play either Bama or UGA. that means along the way two teams will lose cause they can be only 1!!!!!!!!!!!! So sorry but the TIDE GOTTA ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I really think ND has the best team in the nation this year. That's just my opinion. Your opinion is different than mine...great! Put both ND and Bama on the field together and skill/talent/size/strength/speed/etc. of the players is not going to be drastically different. The difference will be standing over on the sideline, across the field from each other with a playbook in their hands. And that is where Bama has a decisive advantage. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't think Kelly can show up and coach his way to a NC. John Wooden said "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" and IMO nobody prepares better right now than Saban.

Whatever happens, ND has had a great season and Kelly is laying a foundation for greatness in the future. College football is better when they are good. Go Irish! And Go Georgia!

I think the Gators Are the best team in the country and have proven that with the schedule........not the prettiest on offense but they do what they need to do to win

    Anything could happen.

Who knows, Notre Dame may lose in their conference championship game. Oh, wait, forgot they don't have to play a conference championship game.

In all seriousness, it should be a good came. The only thing I hate is the long delay before the game actually happens.

I strongly doubt that. The FCS teams Bama played don't even have good FCS records.
Where are Arkansas and Miss St ranked now?

The projections and stats are great. I think all this talk is fun. But you are right about one thing, it will be settled on the field.

If Notre Dame joined a conference which one? ACC didn't they just join this for everything but football? If they played in the ACC in football they would probably win the conference more times then not. How about the big 10? This would make the most sense and they would probably go to a bowl game most years. One thing is true ND did not play any FCS schools. Does this mean that FCS school cannot beat a FBS school, no. ANYONE can be ANYONE on any given day, this has always been true and will remain true.
So good luck to Alabama and Georiga may the best team win. But if Georgia wins I'm sure the Alabama fans will find someone else to blame the loss on cause on thing is for certain. Alabama is better than anyother football team that has ever played the game.
Sorry, the last comment just goes to show you that I can be full of shit too!
