    Thumbs up Highway Shooter

For the past two weeks there has been a (reportedly) man randomly shooting at vehicles on I-96. So far he has shot a total of 24 vehicles, including the driver of one who received minor injuries to his butt.

People driving this corridor of I-96 are nervous, and some are taking alternative routes.

I hope that they catch this POS soon, before he badly hurts, or kills anybody. This weekend Nebraska plays MSU in East Lansing, and thousands of additional people will be on I-96.

Funny thing is that only 8 of the 24 shootings were on I96....

I think we need a new hunting season!

It may be near impossible to catch this guy unless he does something really stupid like stand on the side of the road. If he is shooting a .22lr they are so easy to keep quiet its ridiculous. I haven't actually seen any articles on what he is shooting though, anybody else?

Mini, where did you get that info, and where were the other shootings? Funny how the media changes things up.

I take that drive every day - Okemos to Wixom. I find myself looking for open windows in cars coming at me and try to not be near a lot of other cars. Figure it would be easier to shoot at 6 cars then 1 going above the speed limit.

I also did her that the first shootings took place in Wixom at random people in their yards or something like that.

The Lansing area media are reporting that it is a 9mm. But they are also reporting it is only on I-96 so I don't know the validity.

I would love to be behind a vehicle that opened fire on another. Game over, because a 7,000 lbs. truck beats sedan every time.

BB gun or real gun? They should have a public hanging so the next idiot will rethink his dumb idea of shooting at vehicles!

1977 when some of the owner operators and the gypos shut their trucks off we kept running. I was shot at twice, both time from overpasses that had no on or exit ramps back to the interstate. One round hit a mounting bracket on my outside mirror, another time missed the tractor and put a hole in the bulkhead of the trailer ------- the size of a .270 or 30.30 At night you could see everyone spotlighting overpasses going down the interstates.

What the hell is wrong with people? My fiance drives though the I96/ US23 corridor daily (this is our neck of the woods) and the stories of the nearby shootings are unsettling to say the least. I heard the FBI is involved and the reward money has increased substantially, as have the leads/tips. Hopefully this moron will be caught before someone is severely wounded or killed.

My opinion only, but it appears the shooter is not a person familiar with firearms, just like most criminals aren't. Either that or they really don't want to hurt anybody. My guess is they are unfamiliar with firearms. Otherwise it would be a much different news story. Thank God that is not the case!!!I can only hope somebody gets to him very soon.

My wife told me about this last week either the guy is a really bad shot or he just isn't trying to kill someone. But you just never know and I hope someone with a CPL there finds him and uses self defense to put this guy in the dirt. Makes you really think about whats wrong with people these days.

We just had the 10 year anniversary of the DC shooters. Feels eerie being a possible target. I refused to call them a sniper like the media did. Snipers are part of our Armed Forces.
